About ME

I am an entrepreneur and an investor and the purpose of my life's work can be bucketed into three themes:

To build a venture engine that helps start-ups (early stage ventures) become sustainable as quickly and effectively as possible without using traditional forms of venture capital.
To build an alternative economic ecosystem that allows blue-collar and low-income South Africans and their families to flourish.
To redeem the power of business for the good of South Africa and to help Christians understand God's inherent and intended design for work and business.

The types of early stage ventures that I am particularly interested in are those that have a deep conviction about seemingly intractable problems that enslave marginalised South Africans to a life of poverty, dependency, mediocrity, consumerism, apathy, individualism, and purposelessness.
The most precious resource in our country is the desire to do good for the marginalised in a way that empowers them with agency and self-sustainability. To this end, most of what I do is designed for collaboration.
Operator first and an investor second: capital is the least valuable resource I bring to the table. If you only need money, you're knocking on the wrong door.
